The owner of Katabatic AB, Katarina Salén, is an experienced expert in the expedition cruise industry. Her career ranges from being a guide on Russian icebreakers in polar regions to founding and previously owning PolarQuest, a polar travel agency in Gothenburg. Currently, she is a co-owner of Salén Ship Management in Gothenburg, the travel agency Noble Caldeonia in London, and owns two cruise ships, Island Sky and Hebridean Sky.
